About Me
I was born and raised a Yooper, and I will always be a yooper at heart. I graduated from Manistique High School in 2004 and graduated from Central Michigan University in 2009. In 2013, I earned my Master’s Degree from Marygrove College in Educational Leadership. I have taught at Manistique Area Schools for nine years now. My teaching experience includes 1st grade, 5th grade, elementary and middle school special education. My mission each school year is to instill a love for learning in my students. I want my students to develop a desire to become lifelong learners. My husband, Dale, and I have one son, Emmett. Although Emmett takes up most of my free time, I do enjoy reading, exercising, and being outside when I get the chance. My family and friends have a special place in my life, because without them I wouldn’t be who I am today. I have learned a lot through them, and they continue to teach me new things everyday. I am excited for the upcoming school year and can not wait to meet all of my new students and their families. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments.

We believe that education is the foundation of our children’s future.
We believe that education should have no limitations. We believe that all children must have a learning environment that is safe, caring, and fun. We believe children who get respect, give respect. We believe that parents and teachers are partners in educating children. We believe that schools should be a place where parents feel welcome. We believe that communication between home and school is necessary for children to be successful. |
